  1. January Is Almost Out! Roll On Spring!

    We have finally got to the end of January! The nights are getting lighter! Let’s hope for a lovely spring to start appearing soon, and for the wet, windy weather to be saved for next year!

    What we have been up to this week…

    Tuesday, we visited our regular customers at ECS and Tesco Bank. We provided everyone with an uplifting onsite massage to keep morale high, and a helping hand to the immune system to stop those cold and flu bugs from appearing!
    Thursday was a very busy day for us! Our relaxing onsite massages at the BBC Studios today were for the staff who work on ‘Mrs. Brown’s Boys’. What a treat!
    We also visited The Hub and the Student Loans company, ensuring that everyone was revitalised and rejuvenated! Important things to keep motivation high and work performance in tip-top shape!

    Today, the relaxing and replenishing massages were for one of our oldest customers, Turner and Townsend. After recently moving offices, we were all looking forward to seeing them! It all looks very sophisticated and sleek! We wish them the best of luck in their gorgeous new workspace.

  2. Be Healthier This Winter, With A Massage!

    Even though we are nearing the end of January (hooray!), the post- Christmas blues can still be lurking. With with such wet weather, and dark afternoons, it can be hard to stay positive and healthy. However, an invigorating massage can really help with battling the brain fog, lethargy, and those down-in-the-dumps moods – all the things we experience while the weather is still miserable and cold.

    Reduce Stress

    Massage isn’t only just good for the body, it is also great for the mind, too. A relaxing massage can lower your stress levels and reduce the amount of cortisol in your body.
    A little bit of cortisol is ok for the body, but too much can lead to ailments like headaches and sleepless nights. This can sometimes lead to a vicious circle, leaving you to feel even more stressed!
    Higher levels of cortisol can also affect your ability to digest food and can also lead to weight gain – not really what you want when you are trying to lose those pounds after those Christmas feasts!


    Maximize Your Immune System

    When we think of winter, we always think of cold and flu bugs as well, right? Well, a frequent massage can help tackle these problems, by increasing the strength of your immune system. Again, cortisol, that pesky stress hormone is to blame again, as high levels can reduce the effectiveness of the immune system.     Wishing you all a Happy New Year from the whole Team at Massage and Glow! We hope you all had a fantastic end to the year and an even better start to the new one! We hope that your 2020 will bring you happiness and joy!

    Firstly, we wanted to celebrate how successful the Glasgow Basket Brigade was over the Christmas period! Thanks to everyone’s hard work, dedication, and generous donations, they managed to feed 2000 of Glasgow’s less fortunate people. How fantastic is that!
    The website is already accepting donations for this years Christmas feast, so if you are still feeling the Christmas spirit of generosity, then you can donate for this years Christmas feast, by following this link, or if you want to try your hand at volunteering, then you can also register your interest in doing so.
    Let’s hope that we can provide even more Christmas dinners for those in need, this year!


    What we have been up to this week…

    As for us, we have been busy from the word go! We have been to the lovely BBC Scotland offices, not once, but twice already since the start of January! We loved hearing all of the stories of their Christmas extravaganzas with their families, the friends and family they spent it with, and how their New Year shindigs went off with a bang!

    Yesterday, we were at our wonderful residency within the Soar @ Braehead. Providing relaxing and rejuvenating massages on all our customers beating the January blues, and escaping the miserable weather!

    This week we have also been at a shipping company within Clydebank. We made sure that everyone was back in tip-top condition to start back to work, and ready to do what they do best!
